This policy covers SEN5E’s own website, inquiries and client relationships. Privacy consent and permission to send marketing messages are separate choices.
1. Who is responsible
SEN5E (“we”, “us” or “our”) is a Canadian business providing sales, marketing and customer experience consulting and revenue systems for growth-oriented renovation, design-build and specialty contractors.
We are responsible for personal information under our control. We handle it in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where it applies. Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) governs our commercial electronic messages.
Send privacy questions or requests to info@sen5e.ca, addressed to the Privacy Lead. If we process information on a client’s instructions within the client’s own systems, the client’s privacy notice and our service agreement also apply. Contact that business about its collection practices; we can help direct a request.
2. What we collect
- Contact and business details: your name, email, phone number, business name, website and information you choose to provide.
- Assessment responses: inquiry volumes, qualification, proposals, contract wins, project values, margins, capacity and other business figures entered into our assessments, along with calculated results.
- Communications and bookings: inquiries, messages, appointment details and records of our correspondence.
- Consent records: your selections, the consent wording presented, source, date and time, and unsubscribe or withdrawal requests.
- Technical and activity information: IP address, browser and device information, cookies or similar identifiers, referring pages, campaign parameters and website activity collected by our website and the services described below.
- Saved-assessment information: assessment identifiers, private return links and first-party identifiers used to reconnect a browser or return visit with a saved assessment or contact.
Business information can be personal information when it identifies an individual. Please submit only information you are authorised to share. Do not enter payment-card details, identification documents, health information or confidential information about homeowners, employees or other people in general website forms.
3. Why we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, prepare and deliver requested assessments, provide return access, arrange meetings, provide agreed services, maintain client records and support the website’s security and operation.
We also use website and campaign activity to understand which content attracts interest, measure advertising and improve our communications. Where available, activity may be associated with a contact record to help us prioritise relevant follow-up. These indicators are estimates of interest, not proof that a particular person read a page or intends to buy.
We send promotional follow-up only where we have consent or another lawful basis under CASL. We may keep records to meet legal obligations, demonstrate consent, resolve disputes and honour communication preferences. A materially different use requires an appropriate legal basis and, where required, fresh consent.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
The website includes the following technologies. Their collection depends on the page, browser settings, available identifiers and the provider’s configuration.
| Technology | Purpose and information involved |
|---|---|
| Essential site functions | Session and security controls, form protection and saved-assessment access. These support requested functionality. |
| Google Analytics | Website usage and campaign measurement using device, browser, interaction and identifier data. Our configured page URL and referrer values remove the saved-assessment “s” token and URL fragments while retaining campaign parameters. |
| Meta Pixel | Page visits and advertising measurement, attribution and audience features, including remarketing where configured. Meta may associate activity with its own identifiers or accounts under its policies. |
| HighLevel | Embedded forms, appointment booking, contact management and external website tracking. Where identification is available, site activity may be connected to a contact record. |
| SEN5E activity tracking | Sends the visited page path to our own website. The browser payload excludes query strings, fragments and form values; the server may associate the visit with an existing saved assessment or contact using first-party identity. |
| Google Fonts | Loads the website’s typefaces from Google; the request can disclose IP address and browser information. |
Our custom activity script checks Global Privacy Control, Do Not Track and a site consent flag. Those checks do not, by themselves, disable Google Analytics, Meta or HighLevel. There is no site-wide tracking preference panel on these pages. Unsubscribing from marketing does not automatically disable browser tracking.
You can block or delete cookies and use browser tracking protection. Blocking third-party services may affect embedded forms or booking. Clearing first-party data may remove convenient saved-assessment access. Provider controls include Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on and Meta advertising preferences; these have limits and do not control all website technologies.
See Google’s Privacy Policy, Meta’s Privacy Policy and HighLevel’s Privacy Policy for their practices. A private assessment link grants access to saved results: keep it private, avoid forwarding it and be cautious on shared devices. A forwarded link or shared browser may cause activity to be attributed incorrectly.
5. Email, text messages and CASL
Requesting an assessment, contacting us, booking a call, visiting the website or accepting our Terms of Service does not, by itself, provide express consent to ongoing promotional email or SMS. Where we request marketing consent, it is an affirmative choice with the purpose and sender identified. We retain evidence of the permission relied on. Any reliance on implied consent is limited to the circumstances and periods CASL permits.
Requested responses and service messages are handled according to their purpose and applicable law. Where a message is commercial, including an assessment email containing a promotional offer, we apply CASL’s requirements unless a specific exemption applies.
Our commercial electronic messages must identify SEN5E and any business on whose behalf they are sent, give a valid mailing address and another contact method, and provide a working, no-cost unsubscribe method. The required contact details and unsubscribe mechanism remain valid for at least 60 days after sending.
You can use an email’s unsubscribe link, reply STOP to a marketing text where offered, or email info@sen5e.ca to withdraw permission. We act without delay and no later than 10 business days after receiving a request. You do not need to sign in or pay a fee. Withdrawal does not prevent communications that may lawfully be sent without marketing consent, such as necessary service or legal notices.
7. Retention and safeguards
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described, including service delivery, legal and accounting requirements, dispute resolution and proof of consent. The appropriate period depends on the record and our legal obligations. Minimal suppression records may be retained to avoid contacting someone who has unsubscribed. When no longer required, information is deleted, securely destroyed or de-identified, subject to backup cycles and legal holds.
We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access restrictions and technical and organisational measures. No website, email service or storage system is completely secure. If a breach occurs, we assess it and make notifications, reports and records required by applicable law.
8. Your choices, access and complaints
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, how it has been used and to whom it has been disclosed. You may request access, correction of inaccurate information, withdrawal of consent or deletion where appropriate. Deletion is subject to lawful retention needs; it is not an unconditional right to erase every record.
Contact info@sen5e.ca with enough detail to locate your records. We may reasonably verify your identity. Under PIPEDA, we respond to access requests within 30 calendar days, subject to permitted extensions or exceptions, and explain any applicable refusal or extension. Access is provided at minimal or no cost; any permitted cost will be explained in advance.
You can decline optional information or withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual limits and reasonable notice. We will explain any effect on the service you requested. You can raise a concern with us or contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or an applicable provincial privacy regulator.
9. Updates and contact
This website is intended for business users, not children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information.
We update this policy when our practices or requirements change and revise the date above. Material changes will receive appropriate notice, and we seek new consent where required. Posting a revised policy does not replace a consent requirement.
