Signage package for an event held yearly where the public can learn more about the day-to-day going on’s of a nuclear power plant. The organizers felt they had created engaging content showcases for the participants to engage in but the previous year’s signage package did a poor job of providing clear wayfinding and creating interest in the individual showcases.

 

The design was to be fun and approachable removing the preconceived notion that nuclear power is a ‘complex’ topic to understand.

 

The visual approach was to use a clean Illustrative style, with bright colours to tell the story of the individual sessions. The visuals were balanced with clean typography to ensure the messaging was easy to understand from a distance.

 

Sign package enabled visitors to easily navigate the many potential destinations and resulted in optimization of physical traffic flow between showcases and generated maximum capacity for each individual showcase when compared to previous years.
